Leadership
The Cox School is led by Dean Albert W. Niemi, Jr. Dean Niemi is an active teacher and scholar who has taught more than 15,000 students during his distinguished career and written six books and more than 200 articles for leading academic journals and business periodicals. Since arriving at the Cox School in 1997, he has increased the school’s endowment from $78 million to more than $150 million, creating 10 endowed faculty positions, seven endowed centers and institutes, and more than 60 scholarships. He also has raised $19 million to support construction of the new James M. Collins Executive Education Center, which opened in September 2005.
